'Round these parts-a-town, we like our rankings. Give us an easy to read Top 10, Top 50 list any day of the week over one of them thar books. And we know you didn't go to an Ivy League school, so you're probably the same way.

Besides rankings, we like fantasy sports.

If you are "that guy" who plays fantasy college football, keep reading; Mizzou fans will enjoy too, though it's not breaking news by any means. A daily must-read (at least a few times a day) for me is RotoWorld.com. They have come out with their College Football offensive player rankings, covering tight ends and wideouts so far.

Mizzou's Jeremy Maclin (a friend of the site - proof here), is ranked as the #2 WR in college football, behind Texas Tech robot Michael Crabtree. If not for cyborgs developed in labs to play in 10 receiver/1 QB, everybody-go-deep offenses , JMac would be #1. RotoWorld's analysis: Maclin did his best Desmond Howard/Rocket Ismail impression as a freshman, and now he returns to an offense that will likely see an increased emphasis on the wide receivers. He'll be joined by Danario Alexander (should he emerge 100%) to provide a dynamic duo. Sixteen score seasons are hard to duplicate, but in an offense like the one in Columbia, Maclin remains a top five national receiver. He's a dangerous man.

Damn right.

For Tight Ends, Chase Coffman is ranked #3, behind Ball State's Darius Hill (1) and Wisconsin's Travis Beckum (2). The write-up on Coffman: Chase Coffman took a step back in 2007, a step back to over 500 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. With the departure of Martin Rucker and the return of quarterback Chase Daniel, one could make a strong case for Coffman as the number one fantasy tight end of 2008.

So there you go. Apparently Fantasy College Football exists. As of press-time the RB and QB rankings weren't out, so we'll have to keep you posted. If your league gives extra credit for 1 yard touchdown runs, you'll want Tim Tebow as your #1 QB.
